I need a downloadable program that allows my to ink some of my scanned pictures. Starting a webcomic idea again. But I need a good downloadable, hopefully free adobe photoshop program that I can use to color and ink my drawings so that they're like everyone else's.
well, i have been using this site and its been very useful to me. i hope you'll also find it useful..:
www.download.com
here are some adobe photoshop programs u could use:
Adobe Photoshop Elements 4
Adobe Photoshop CS2
Adobe Photoshop 6.0 Update 6.0.1 or Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Update 7.0.1
Adobe Photoshop CS3 beta
here are also some softwares you might find very useful (as i did):
Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI
Photo Pos Pro 1.35
but you might find other SW you might find more to your liking there…
some of them only habe at least 15 days of trial period (free usage) then you'd have to buy the whole package if you want to continue using, but many of them are not, only that some few features in the bought version might not be available in the free version.
Anyway, hope this helps!
I like to do retouching, and I've noticed on youtube people record themselves retouching photos in photoshop. I have photoshop, but how do I record it for use as a video? Thank you so much!
You can use Camtasia Studio, it allows you to add audio and edit your recording after you are done capturing it.
One thing I want to do in photoshop is to learn how to make a person look older or younger, professionally.
How do I do this?
I always wondered if that's possible too. Thanks for asking
Well, i just installed indesign cs3 and i would like to open saved files from my photoshop cs3 with my indesign, but it doesnt work. I saved on most of the file formats but indesign doesn't recognize any of them, so i cant open saved files from PS. Im still new so yeah, help please?
Adobe Indesign and Adobe Photoshop will work together nicely (especially CS3). They are just totally different programs used for different purposes. Photoshop is generally used for raster grapics/photos/effects; whereas Indesign is generally used for layout.
If you would like to use a Photoshop file within Indesign, then you need to
1. create a new document in Indesign (File->New)
2. Place the PSD into that document (File->Place)
3. with in the Place Document dialog box you'll have to navigate to the desired PSD file and select it, please note the two check boxes at the bottom of the dialog box. It would be a good idea to check the "Show Import Options" box. This will allow you to set the initial layer transparency within Indesign. You can always change these settings in Indesign by going to Object->Object Layer Options.
Good luck!
I've seen those pretty pictures with special effect and stuff. And I wanna get a program that would let me do all those stuff. Anyone know a good program to buy? Or what type of Photoshop should I get?
Photoshop is an extremely expensive program. I suggest that you try GIMP first cuz it's free.
"GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.

Trying to learn how to make the waist and hips look thinner using photoshop. I cant seen to get a good result with liquify but I may be doing it wrong. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Im using photoshop 7
make a copy of the layer, select the area you want to change using the free transform tool and resize appropriately then erase the obvious outlines.
I received a scan via email from overseas and can barely read the text on it. Any tips on improving its appearance and readablity using photoshop?
My only suggestion would be to try the "Sharpen More" effect
do u know where to find photoshop coloring tips or mayb u can give me some yourself.. even painting tips would b nice to or penicl drawings as well thnk u
Study this thread and what the people have to say in it. Especially "Bumskee". This will give you a good technique for using the brushes in photoshop. Its gonna take LOTS of practice though and some study of how lighting works. If you dont know how values and lighting work, study that first before going to painting or it will be very frustrating.
