I'm creating an animation in Photoshop CS4. Whenever I rotate a layer on a new frame it also rotates on the previous frames. I've looked about the settings etc and haven't found a solution. I'm relatively experienced with Photoshop and it's kinda annoying me! Any help would be amazing!
this is a great link that helped me a lot with animation in Photoshop

under a layer (not over it) without trying to cover the
image with the gradient color picked.. im using adobe photoshop cs on via mac. thanks.
photoshop should be the same on either os, you would create a layer, select gradient tool, then select options for gradient, what im missing is that a gradient uses colors to go from one to another, or half transparent, but you say not to cover image, so is that to be the background, if so, you would put the image on top of gradient, but then you would not see gradient unless image was partly transparent, either way, transperency would be used,

I downloaded Photoshop CS3 Extended from the net. It's a free trial. I've downloaded some brushes and loaded it in my Photoshop CS3. Tomorrow is the last day of the trial and I need to know how to transfer those brushes to the Photoshop CS that I bought. I deleted those brushes from my computer since my computer memory is getting full.
Can anybody help me?
It seems like I am a little late as you might already have lost your access to the trial, but here is the infromation you asked for anyway.
If your Photoshop is working all you have to do is click on the brush tool, and on the options bar (the bar below the words File, Edit, etc) click on the the arrow pointing foward next to the picture of your brush, that will give you a little flyout menu with pictures of lots of brushes.
If the brushes you want to save are there, click on the icon to the right (a round circle with an arrow pointing to the right) and select Preset Manager (if they are not there just follow info as if you didn't have access anymore).
Select the Brushes you wish to save (you can select more than one by holding down the CTRL key on Windows or the apple key on a Mac) and then click on Save Set. Give your file a name you will remember and save it in the Brushes folder, inside the Presets Folder, inside the Adobe Photoshop CS folder (be careful if you use Vista, you do not want to save it in the App Data folder, you have to do it under Program files > Adobe> etc…). Now the next time you launch Photoshop CS you can click on the brush tool, and then click on the flyout menu and the circle button inside of it and your set of brushes will be listed there.
If you don't have access to Photoshop, don't dispair, there is still hope!
You might have deleted the file you downloaded but depending on how you installed it, your brushes file might still be in your computer. search for files with the extension ABR (use your computer's seach function), if would be under something like Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CS3 > Presets > Brushes, if you find the file you are looking for just move it to the Photoshop CS folder and you should be all set.
I am just using Photoshop Cs for the first time and whenever I draw two lines it fills the space in-between them. I can see the selection of fill or no fill on the bottom of my paths option tab, but I can't click on them because it won't let me. Why is this? What can I do to not have all of my lines filled?
Do you mean when you are using pen tool to draw lines? look at the tab on the top, make sure you select 'path' option but not the 'shape layer' option

I am new to Adobe Photoshop CS and would welcome any advice on learning tips that I can use in designing artwork for the screen printing industry. I have used Macromedia Freehand in the past and not familiar with Photoshop at all. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!!!
The best place to start to your local library to get a copy of "Photoshop for Dummies". It is well-written for beginners and will give you a good start.
any tips accepted! preferably ones that includes how to do CG and also shading the pic! also how to work with backgrounds and using layers!
It's way too complicated to do on this forum, but there are hundreds of PS tut's online…here are some from my favorites.

I just bought CS4 and I have never used it before. What should I start doing first? Any tips?
Play around, download some brushes, and always try to do stuff. If you think "I could do that somehow" try it. Don't think "Ugh, it'd be too hard", just try it. You'll get used to the program, and you'll soon be able to do it.
There are also some great tutorials around the web. I personally use Planet Photoshop. http://www.planetphotoshop.com/
Good luck!
I'm just looking for any good online sites that are "visually appealing" in their tutorials for using Photoshop tools & effects.
I recommand you to use Google Picasa to manage and edit your pictures.
Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups.
Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized. Picasa also makes advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your pictures ¨C you can email, print photos at home, make gift CDs, instantly share via Hello™, and even post pictures on your own blog.
free download in here, just have a try:

I am studying graphic design and want to improve rapidly on photoshop and illustrator, Does anyone know the best sites for tutorials?

or adobe.com, that's always a good resource.
The best way I improved after lagging behind on versions was to use a Total Training instructional DVD-ROM. It comes with sample files and video lessons that allow you to watch, pause and try. The DVDs are somewhat expensive, but you can find them used on ebay with queries like "total training photoshop"… just make sure you get the version number you want.
