How do you make a straight line or a rectangle shape in adobe photoshop?
I need to know how to make a straight line in adobe photoshop.
I would also like to know how to adjust the opaqueness of the line (make it translucent).
Thanks!
Hold Shift to make a straight line.
And with the shape tool, from the tool bar, you can make… shapes. such as a rectangle.
In the Layer window, check the opacity of the layer of the line- you can scroll left or right to select the desired opaqueness.
OR
When you have the brush tool, on the top you can adjust the opacity for the brush.
I suggest adjusting the opacity in the layer window. but if you just want to paint and you want your strokes to be translucent you can adjust the brush opacity.

LOOL! The shape tool is right under neath the T (text tool) in photoshop cs2. Right click it and choose line tool. One of the ways to adjust the opaqueness is to look on your layers window on the right and look for where it says opacity.
