does anyone have tips for making a nice photoshop blend?

i was just wondering… i'm new to photoshop and i was wondering if anyone had any tips for making a good blend. =]

More info needed. There's a "blur" tool in the tool palette that can be applied locally. Also a finger icon "smudge" tool that has different threshhold settings. There is also a gradiant fill tool in the tool palette that shares the bucket tool (hold down your cursor for a couple of seconds on the bucket to make it show up). These are possible definitions of "blend" from all you have given us, that might well apply.

can only suggest practicing using masks, gradient, feathering, blur, layers, and transparency level, once you figure out basic setups, putting together collage/ montage type images becomes easier,
